Hello :) What are those little outside feeding boxes? :D
Those boxes are wonderful! They reduce the mess on the floor! Google Search calls them something like, "No Mess Bird Feeder." Is that what you have @fashionfobie?

Here is an Amazon link.

@WikiWaz

The feeding boxes I got : SeedMate Bird Feeder, NO-MESS Bird Feeders.

Parrotlets flick fruit and veg debris everywhere. We used to need to clean the walls all the time so switched to these boxes. It helps immensely with the mess and hygiene of the bird room. The boxes to require a good cleaning every night, and they can't run in the dishwasher, but it is worth it!

The boys happened to be showing off the splendor of vertical bark branches so I'm sharing it here.

Parrots can't be underestimated for their acrobatic abilities!

My guys REALLY LIKE to tear up natural perches as well as washed, baked pinecones.
I wonder if parrotlets would enjoy cardboard bird bagels?
i found lots of good toys at bonka bird toys; but I haven’t had a parrotlet or lovebird for YEARS so I don’t have any specific recommendations. I do recall them rolling around with balls and “foot toys” marketed for larger birds. And everyone likes a short tunnel.

My parrotlet mojo loves foot toys, wiffle balls, tunnels, he has a little cardboard box from Costco that I put all that in on the floor of his cage. Mine loves birdy bagels, shreds them like crazy! He also loves swings & ladders too

wiffle balls
We tried little whiffle type balls before. Neptune ignored them. I am honestly unsure if Picard enjoyed them or if he was distressed. So we stopped those. It was cute mind you, watching him toss them around. However the body language was so intense in his whiffle ball escapades. He seems much more peaceful and less angry without the balls. :confused: :lol: :eek:

I have come to believe it wasn't playing as much as fighting them! Not saying this is universal for parrotlets, just my experience. Watching them rip up branches everyone seems to have a great time!
