I believe proteins are helpful when they have feathers to grow or injuries to heal.

They'll be fine once she matures. Adult females can look after themselves. They won't be seperated for that long so don't worry. Put their cages close together so they can be close to each other when caged.
The longest tail feathers will be back in about 6 weeks. Best protein sources include boiled egg white (in moderation) and quinoa.
