Hello, I'm new to the site. I started here for advice on one of my birds. But I have enjoyed it so far. I'm an animal lover. I live on a mini farm with goats, cows, rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkey, 2 cats, 2 dogs and 3 water turtles.
I also own 2 parakeets, and a bare eyed cockatoo. The parakeets are my sons he got for his birthday 2 years ago. They were babies. They are spoiled silly little birds.
My bare eye cockatoo is around 27 years old. His first owner had him his first 5 years. Then my grandpa had him about 20 years. He is in bad health and couldn't give him the attention he needed. He's a grumpy bird and doesn't like many people. So I adopted him about 2 years ago. He's a spoiled bird as well. He can say many things, he sings and dances, and can do many tricks.

I would love to see some photos of your bare eyed cockatoo. When I was younger my mom and I used to visit one in a local store. He was there for a long time and eventually my mom said we could get him. The next day we went in and he had gone! Since then I've been absolutely in love with them (I'm going back about 18 years) but they just aren't really available where I live
