Hello! first off, please don't comment "rehabber or experienced hand-feeder" because we have none and I just need help. so every time I feed him, he eats 1.5mls and then is done, but his crop never fills to where I can see anything.. I've tried saving a few before and I always have this issue..

I have never hand fed before, but my parent finches feed a ton! They are always feeding the babies, and their little crops look like life rings around their necks. I'm not sure how much is normal to give for finches, but with most birds they need very frequent small feeding to get them to grow healthily. :)
Hopefully someone with more experience comes along soon!

i was only able to get 1.5ml max. his eyes are starting to open a bit, he is very very active and clean. definitely healthy. he has some pin feathers sprouting. i'd say no older than a week.

I have a local pet shop (mom & pop) that does some hand-feeding for their personal breeding birds. That was all I can think of to get some mentoring, so I'm going to head down there in a little bit and see if I can get the lady to help me a little bit
