My name is Julia and I live in Asheville, NC. Back in 1989 I had an Aviary building which housed an assortment of parrots to include Cockatoos, Amazons, Conures, & Senegals. That lasted 4 years, was a lot of hard work and ended when my favorite young Cockatoo was eaten by a Racoon. I raised white pigeons for 14 years and performed white dove releases for mostly funerals & some wedding & events. I have not had any birds for a few years until last summer when a Cockatiel landed on a street musician and needed a home. I posted him on lost & found sites with no success. He is a sweet yellow-white Cockatiel named, Sunny. Then I adopted a yellow parakeet, 2 others and 4 English Budgie breeders. I have a bright, colorful bird room and am enjoying having birds in my life once again.
