:hug8:I have a Quaker named Buddy and have enjoyed him as my best friend. Now, I want to get some breeder Quakers. I have bred lovebirds, but not Quakers. Maybe someone can help me with info. I am also very new with Avian Avenue too. My name is Glenda and I have really enjoyed all the wonderful people here on this site. flower

Hi Glanda! I had several breeding pairs of quakers. What specific info are you looking for?
Make sure who ever you buy from has DNA papers to prove male and females.
Cage should be as large as you can go. Provide toys and put a perch near nestbox opening.
Nestbox should be about 24 tall and 8 inches deep. Hole should be about 3 inches in diameter. Put thick layer of pine shavings in bottom.
Birds should be on breeder pellets. (I fed Roudy bush breeder-mini size) Some seed and mixed nuts sould be offered as well as mixed fruits and veggies. Egg food with shells should be offered. Cuttlebone should be offered.
Lots of light at extended periods.
