Hey,
Seeing Barnaby ate harrisons high potency over 6 months, I started giving him adult lifetime for about 3 months now. I've noticed his poops become smellier and sometimes it's harder to pass for him, like once every 2-3 weeks. It all happened after switching, so now I am wondering if I should switch back to the high potency and if it's okay to give it to him the rest off his life, seeing he is to old for it.

It's not a crazy smell btw like worrying to think he is sick. Just before there was no odor at all, and now there is little scent to it. Also feel like he eats more of it, than the high potency one. Just feels like it's not working for him, the adult lifetime one, compared to the high potency.

I alternate between the two often with my Linnie. Mostly to give him extra protein and fat during molting.

Manufacturer recommendations are just that... recommendations. If it's not working for your bird to be on lifetime, then feed what does work!

Eating less on the HP makes sense because it's higher in fat which helps the body feel satiated :)
