Happy 14th to Ralph

Today (October 1) is Ralph's hatchday-- 14 years old today. It hardly seems possible. He had a good day with lots of attention (which really isn't unusual) and playtime. He got a few special treats and I offered him the chance to stay up a little later than usual, but he wasn't interested and wanted his regular bedtime. I think he enjoyed his special day.

Ralph and I thank everyone for their good wishes. Today he got slightly less attention than he did on his hatchday, but I doubt that he noticed such a small difference. It's hard to find ways to spoil him on special occasions.

Ralph shows some signs that he misses Scooter but he's really accustomed to being an only parrot again. I'm sure that he likes not having to share my time and attention with another parrot.
