Hi all. We have a two month old Ruby that we are hand feeding. She is getting more and more feathers every day. Neither of our two other Macaws are willing to help preen so We have to step in. At two months old, its hard to tell what to preen on its head and neck. If the creatin is still connected to the skin is preening a no-go?? In the photo are feathers on its head. Thanks much!

Welcome! It would be very tender. I would recommend leaving it alone, but if it seems itchy, a light misting with warm, not hot, water. Just plain water without anything added to it, but please make sure that your bird stays warm enough as the water will cool.
