:embarassed: Never did this before.

I purchased them today and the sales lady asked me how old my child was...... I said 2 years old!!:o:rofl:

Anyway, we read the first one before bedtime and Emma seemed to enjoy looking at the colorful images and listening to new phrases come out of my mouth.:hehe:

Stay tuned for videos where Emma is story telling..

I read to Rain... She loves it, and she has nowhere near the attention span of a grey (or a pionus, or a ADD monkey)

sounds like fun!

when the boys were little, they had a couple of books that had buttons to push for certain words and it would say the word or phrase out loud

need those next for Emma! :)

Thank goodness my daughter and I aren't the only birdie mommas that do this (read and watch cartoons with the FIDs)- we also sing to them and dance with them. My hubby just looks at us like we are on crack sometimes!!!

Cute books. I had to go to cloth books because mine like turning pages. I substitute a bird name for one of the characters in the book. It is so much fun. One book is a sensory book with touch and sound etc. They liked that one. The fur piece they would rub their beak on. The mirror always got their attention. Now when the grandkids come I let them read to the birds...improves the kids reading and the birds enjoy it.

When I was in college and had to practice reading books (that we would read to other Ed. students and get graded) I would practice on Sunny and Kupo. They liked it!

:dance5:I've been reading everynight to Emma since I purchased the books this week and Emma seems to show true interest. She sits perched on my shoulder and listens very intently while looking at the images on each page. As I read to her I also point out certain animals on each page to her and tell her which animal it is and sometimes I will count outloud in either, english, french, vietnamese or hebrew the amount of cookies images that are shown on each page. I am having a good time sharing this time with her and am certain that she will be reciting phrases from the *Who Stole the Cookie* book in a very short time.:dance4:
