Hi, I'm Janet (aka Cali) and I just got a new parakeet (Budgie). My husband has an African Grey Parrot, but she only likes him. lol

I used to have a cockatiel years ago, and loved her very much. Sadly, she passed.

Overall, I'm a novice, my husband being more of an expert. I'd love to learn more and hear about other people's birds.

I'm a little late to be the welcome wagon, but, my name is Janet, also. More coincidentally, my biological father called me Cali until he passed away. The reason he called me that was bcuz he originally named me California Gold. That wouldn't be so bad, but my maiden name (his name) was Rush! Thank goodness my mother said, "No way!"
