We came back from vacation last week. We gave both of our birds to a trusted friend whom also has 2 conures, they didn’t get along that will with my parrots but she made sure to supervise them when they were near each other. After we came back I noticed my bird dexter’s right foot had one finger that looked a bit swollen. I’m not sure what it is but it could be that they are overdue for their nail trim. He has been lifting that foot up from time to time and I do plan on taking him to the vet this week. I just want to know what this is for future reference. 3BB86C92-3EEB-45CC-8276-FE66432A6531.jpeg

Swelling could have a lot of causes, but if you don't see an injury or signs of infection then maybe he sprained it somehow?

he isn’t that good of a flyer and he usually lands pretty hard, if that’s the case I’ll keep an eye out for him. I’m scared that one of my friends birds were fighting over him and he got bit because he was the only male there the rest including my other bird mango were females.
