I saw one of these on Craigslist is this a new mutation? I'll post a picture later it's on my computer. It's got a lot of black and grey in it. They were asking $100 for 8 week old hand tame I was curious if that was a good price for this mutation?

I have never heard of this mutation before. Maybe one our other members with lovebird experience will have an idea.

It could be a slate black masked lovebird. They are very pretty!

Could be a double dark factor Blue Masked, like the hen in the centre of the attached picture.

I think gothic lovebird is just a name they gave it. I'm pretty sure those are called mauve, though I could be wrong. And I think $100 is a bit high. Not be too much though. They are normally $50-$80

100$ sounds good for a mauve. They're not that common.

^mauves are rare? Whoops I didn't know that! If that's the case then $100 is a good price!!!

Yes mauve or double dark factor blue.

The double dark factor is rare and prized because of the combinations it can be used to produce in the next generation

In my pic above, the yellow looking Dilute Green (doobie) is the dad, the mauve ( Bompie) is the mum, and one of the babies is on the left ( dark green)

Slaty! I think it's a slaty rather than a mauve (double dark factor); the difference is minimum to see;;;
I have to admit my ignorance because I don't know to compare € with $, thus I don't know to say to you whether 100$ is expansive or cheap;
I think the beauty has not price though, thus if you can afford 100$ and if you desire him so much, then you don't hesitate and you buy him...
Let us know what you will do;)
