Going to the gym

I was looking online last night at all the bird gyms and thinking the Madberry could do with one to keep them a little more entertained but seeing as I'm so very tight with my money I couldn't bring my self to part with 800+ dollars.

Then this morning I was looking out at the patio and saw our very large unused shelving unit an "light bulb" I'll turn it in a gym for them.

So my winter project is shelf gym....and because I'm pic mad I will of course take heaps of progress pics...

The begining..



It is 21140mm high and 1140mm wide
Rough drawing plans..

It will have some paint on but not much.

Final started.... managed to get Hayden to let me use some of his shed....
The log is there for size, going to cut a hole and put down the middle. Now to clean and paint the bits that will show.

Finally done something... after collecting all the stuff I put holes in the shelves and lay out the lining.
I got this for free, not my choice of colour...

Lining it so they can't chew on it and for some reason this stuff handles them and they don't really like chewing on it.
