Pictures Froley pics!

Here are some pictures showing Froley under his lamp. I need to get better pictures but these show how even changing the angle he is standing can change his color! When he isn't under the lamp he appears almost black or navy blue and when he is on the bottom of his cage he is a dark blue. I will eventually get photos of that but he is really fast so its really hard to get any pictures. He is also just starting to become less afraid around me so pictures will be easier.

Froley is an amethyst starling, scientific name Cinnyricinclus leucogaster.

He's fabulous!!

Thanks, I think he is less than a year old, because when he came home he still had some baby markings. I got him at a show and I forgot to ask the age. Froley does seem pretty smart, hopefully he will quickly learn that I am not going to eat him whenever I bring him new food.

His feather color in the light sparkles almost as a "amethyst" gemstone. He is really COOL!
