hello!

at the beggining of june i noticed my female lovebird has trouble pooping.
after she was pooping it was clearly visible she is in a bit of pain or uncomfortable.

i decided to check her poops and noticed a bit of fresh blood in some of the poops.

i went to an avian vet. they did an x-ray and the results showed a mild metal poisoning but they were not 100% sure. (x-ray picture was not clear enough).

she was put on antibiotics, twice, but it didn't help.

i don't want to go back to the vet yet again because they will x-ray her again and last time was super traumatic for her and for me.

could it be she just have a minor wound near the vent exit? because the blood is very fresh. she also laid 2 eggs beggining of april, at 1 year old. she has a mate and they mating sometimes.

also there's no bells toys, nothing that can cause a metal poison. i have other lovebirds and they all ok. they play with same stuff as her. only natural toys like sola, balsa, etc.

she eats and drink as usual.

i don't know what else to do :(

i attached pictures of the x-ray, good poop & bad poop (from the same day), and how she looks like after pooping.

thank you!
