I personally wouldnt say they are perfectly, if at all, "recall" trained, as you and I may know of it (like flying, on command, to your hand, or to a point of location you ask) but they are "flock" trained, and they know where their "home" is and a place of safety, thats for sure! He does have an aviary, where he introduces the birds, so they get used to their new environment and "flock".
