Im lost for words....I just got a call that Kona my wonderful, toeless african grey that I have had since being weaned in 2006 was found on the bottom of her cage. She was a happy little girl that I loved very much and just dont even know what to think right now.
For those of you that dont know, about a year ago she moved in with my parents. A year before that I walked by her cage with a laundry basket and she freaked out and never was the same with me again, wouldnt step up, wouldnt let me pet her, nothing....But absolutley loves my dad, was so happy when he was around, so she went to live with them..Has been happy and healthy, not thin, ate well, everything was fine. Earlier today she was talking, and playing.
This is the first pet I have lost in a looong loooong time, and I cant even go over there. My cousin headed over to my parents to help burry her.
Even though I didnt see her every day, I still am going to miss her. Now I wish I had her with me so I would of had more time with her.
