I was looking at putting new flooring instead of carpeting in bird room b/c the carpeting just doens't work....I looked at the fake wood flooring that kind of glues to the floor..just wondering if this would be safe for the birds..it's called the laminate flooring I think

My entire place is done in laminate. The way it works is that the pieces snap together but are not actually attached to the subfloor at all, they 'float' so to speak. No glues, etc to be toxic to birds at all.

I have ceramic tile in the bird room and really like it...easy to clean up and durable.

Be careful with laminate flooring-- try to opt for laminate that does not have formaldehyde. Many laminates have formaldehyde and will off-gas when first installed and can be very dangerous to birds.
