First egg this morning.

My new hen has laid this morning inspite of the cold weather. Very early to be honest I think I paired them up at least a couple of weeks too soon. Will see what happens.

Sorry didn't do an intro. They are a pair of canaries. She has laid another egg this morning but missed a day which is unusual. She isn't sat incubating yet properly either. I've bread canaries before bit just getting back into it after a break.

Three eggs now after four mornings.

The hen has sat closely today on what I think is probably a full clutch of four eggs. I have not been able to verify if a fourth egg has been laid because she is sitting so tightly now.

First chick has hatched out. Only one more egg can hatch cos the other 3 are clear.
