Finch/canary diet

What pellets do you feed your finches and canaries?
I have 2 spice finches(m and f 4-5 years old) in one flight cage and a canary(m around 1 but not sure I got him for free off of Facebook with NO info on him…) in another flight cage.
I am looking for the healthiest pellet in the US market.
I currently use a mix of Lafabers, Harrison’s high potency mash, and egg food.
Lafabers is for the respective bird type finch vs canary.
I am not digging all of the fillers in these pellets. I do also give fresh veggies that my canary gobbles up, but the finches eat them here and there. They get millet spray more as a treat than a diet staple.

I am looking for something like tops for parrots, but for these little guys. Otherwise something freeze dried or even a recipe to make them myself!

Thank you for any direction or leads to help me find the diet my little babies deserve ❤

All of the TOPS are the same recipe, so theoretically you could just crush them up in a blender or similar if you really want to feed them. :)

Fillers implies that the food is doing nothing for them. Corn (the most often vilified "filler") is a source of protein, carbohydrates, fatty acids, and antioxidants. Is it cheaper? Sure. But that makes it more affordable too. It also has natural sugars, so it makes the end product more palatable.

All that to say, feed what your birds eat, do well on, and that fits your budget. "Best" pellet is relative. ;)

I actually have a list of freeze dried, etc foods here:

In particular, you may like Jason Crean's company. He is a big promoter of whole food diets, which might be what you are looking for if you want to get away from the pellets.
