Cutest Bird Ever!!!
Tonight we celebrate the eve of San Juan (Saint John). The birds will be put to bed at 8pm sharp and we´ll be heading off down to the beach to set up our chairs and barbecue.
It is a ritualistic celebration in where we leave things behind in the year passed, and think about what we want from the year ahead.
At midnight we cleanse in the sea to rid those things from the year, ready to move forward into the future.
It is tradition to light a bonfire and jump over it to be granted luck for the year ahead. Not sure we´ll light one this year, we´ll see. The last time we were able to participate in the festivities was 2019 so this has been a long time coming.
I think I will try to leave behind some of my sorrow and the negativity I have had about me recently. Bad things happen to everyone so it´s about time I try to make more of an effort to be positive and happy again
Does anyone else celebrate the eve of San Juan?
