This is a completely harmless communal baby H. Spinifer. I wouldn't have handled him if he wasn't insistent on coming out. It was either let him on my hand or catch him while he scurried about on my bed. He's got a drop of liquid on his tail because he insisted on being in their water bowl while I was refilling it.

And here is Jasper (on the left and higher up/closer to the camera). His name is Spartacus.

Agree 100%. I wasn't too sure on keeping them and was more into tarantulas, but I wanted to try keeping them. Their breeder offered to take them back if I couldn't, but that never happened.

Not yet, they're still a while from reaching maturity. Adults are a bit longer than a man's hand. Maybe some day, as they're both from different parents.

But yeah, I felt the same way until I got these two. They're actually pretty slow and docile and... not exactly smart.
