I want to hear how you respond to excessive contact calling. Do you reply to every contact call your bird makes? Jacob does allot of contact calling, even if we are both there and he can see us. He sometimes sits on his swing in the living room and calls and calls even though we are sat in the sofa right next to him. Often if I move and he can't see me he starts calling but he's not happy with me replying. He doesn't stop until he sees me again.
This morning consisted of about 20 min of constant contact calling, I had him on my shoulder and he called out. He sat on top of his cage and called. He flew on top of the kitchen cabinets and called. Me replying doesn't do anything, I go up to the cage to talk to him and he looks at me and calls.
I don't know how I should approach this. I know vocalizations in the morning are normal but constant contact calling for 20 min? And other times during the day when he starts. Reply once and then ignore?
