Ernie has found his owner

Well I got a early call this morning and Ernie matched the description perfectly so I met the woman and he climbed straight up to her shoulder and had a cuddle.

He was only a few doors away from her home to where I collected him at the hardware store. I gave her some information on cockatiels and told her about AA but she doesn't have a computer. She was very happy to have him back, he got out when she was cleaning the cage.

So a happy ending to the cockatiel story

Here are his pictures anyway to show you what a chubby boy he was. He is puffy in the pics as this was day one and he returned to a normal size the next day. I will miss him.....

Thanks everyone he was a sweet little guy. Maybe I will look at adopting when I move in a few mths.

BTW he did have toys in the floor of the cage, but if I tried to hang anything up in the cage he got scared so that's why it looks so bare.

he is a very tubby boy but looks incredibly healthy and I am so glad he found a temp refuge with you...his mommy sounds very happy to have him home hint..a lot oftiels don't like toys in their cages so that is not uncommon....my girls here dont like toys like that..they prefer my stuff

Awww, I have conflicting emotions about this!

On the one side I am so thrilled that Ernie is reunited with his owner! It must have been so special for the lady to finally see her Cockatiel again!

On the other side I was so happy that you got another fid to look after. You are such a great parront! Any bird would be so fortunate to be in your care!

Did the lady happen to mention what Ernie's real name is?
