We are having our 2nd nice day in Wales, so took Dolly outside for a minute. All was good until I very quietly moved my chair over to sit down on with her. She jumped down and went running into the house.
I managed to get her before she climbed up Frankie's cage. (He was near his play hut at the other end of the kitchen.)
I took her in the living room and she wouldn't stop snuggling into me and whimpering like a wee baby, poor thing.
She's all calm and sitting on her back perch now, grooming.
I feel so bad, especially with her soft cries. :(

@Icey Has she had issues outside before?

Hubby just told me Secret flew off her playstand twice because of a lawnmower this evening. He put her back and then the neighbor started a leaf blower.

Hubby said it was sad to see her reaction and he just put her back in her cage (her safe place).

She had been out with me the day before and was happy and dancing about.
I'm pretty sure the chair scared her when I was pulling it over.
I'm so used to Frankie being on me and not having issues with things.
She panics over the slightest thing. I have to keep that in mind with her. :)
If there's any kind of noise outside, I refrain from taking either of them out, just being cautious. Especially if seagulls are flying about, they don't get out. They get pretty noisy.

No, Dolly is very skittish. I would say it's from her previous home. They had a huge great dane that was always jumping up on their cages, and her cage being shoved between other cages and not getting out much.
This is a whole new experience for her, so I need to tread cautiously with her.
She is only in her cage at night to sleep or when she goes in to eat and groom, or when we have to go out.
There are crows, cuckoos, magpies, robins, and seagulls in our area.
