HI, I wash my birds seedmix (canary, millet, niger, sunflower, oats etc) with water. Many people said that washing seedmix is good and many people says its harmful for birds. It grows molds and fungus. I am confused about this matter. Which one should I do?

How long in advance are you washing before serving?

If you were rinsing and then storing the seeds wet to feed at a later date, yes, I would be concerned about mold and bacteria.

If you are rinsing and the serving daily, that should be fine. Soaked seeds can actually be beneficial. Wet seeds definitely can feed bacteria faster than dry seeds, though, so you may want to treat them as "fresh" food meaning changing them out a couple times a day.

If you are serving all that you washed then it's probably safe. If you are storing washed seed, there is a high probability for mold.

Yes after drying sunlight. I store the seed mix.

thanks.then how i clean seed? any advice?
Why do you need to clean it? It should be cleaned when it is processed.

Otherwise wash it and give to them wet or dried daily.

Is there a reason you're washing it? What brand are you feeding?

If you're not in the US, are you able to purchase seed from reputable sellers online? Like Amazon or anything? I don't know that rinsing with water would wash off enough pesticides for it to be completely safe...

I would not feed anything that was in contact with pesticides. Not to me or my birds.
That would be my concern for the birds - pesticides usually take more than a water rinse to wash off.
