Does any body reside in a trailer park with a parrot?

Our lovely Amazon is upsetting our neighbors in our current living situation, an apartment. We decided to look into a trailer park. Does any body currently reside in a trailer park with a parrot? Can you hear your parrot outside of the trailer? Any noise complaints? Overall experience? Do you recommend or not recommend. Any and all advice appreciated. A house would be our first choice, but under the current circumstances the United States is facing, not just in the housing market but overall, a house is untouchable right now.

If Secret wants to...... I've heard we can hear her outside.

Thankfully, it's just when she wants my attention.
Hubby said she trained me well.

I love Secret's name. I know they're loud at times and quiet at others I just worry are we going to be in the same situation as we are with the apartment at the trailer. And it's not an RV it's actually living inside a trailer in a trailer park. The "slapped together half home's" carried on the back of trucks type of trailer that you live in.

Oh yes I know I just figured that's the closest approximation that I could think of anyone else on the board to tag since she'd have had to stay around others and deal with parrot noise in a non standard house.

I'm so sorry that you're experience neighbor complaints. I know all too well how stressful it is having neighbors who hate the sound of birds!
All I can suggest is, if possible, put him in a room that's farthest away from your neighbor's wall. There's soundproofing panels that can help, but unfortunately as we all know, it won't completely shut out their vocalizations.

Yes it is very stressful. I'm glad you can understand by relating. How did you deal with your complaining neighbors?

If you search our old threads, you might find a way to stay where you are.

For example, I searched "soundproofing" and found 7 pages of threads to look at. Here is just one and someone on it mentioned a panel?

It's a very long story...here's one very long thread about my lovely former neighbors during the time I had our aviary installed.
My new aviary. My neighbors. SO STRESSED.

One of the reasons we moved 6 months ago was on account of our neighbors. We did what we could to appease them, but to no avail. Now we have 2.2 acres and everyone around us has a combo of dogs, horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens, ducks and more.

What a nasty neighbor. I'm sorry you went through that. How crushing. I'm happy that it all turned out well in the end. Bring that we are in an apartment it isn't that bad but we do get dirty looks right now. And now that we are moving to a trailer park of all places I kind of fear the same and with the stigma of trailer park though this one is in Plymouth. It's a upper class city not just a reg city but that worries me even more. Snotty stuck up neighbors in a trailer park at that. I don't know how the two go together but whatever. But we can't stay here either. I guess only time will tell .. yikes.

That sounds just like what I was looking for when we bought our house last year. Unfortunately, as we needed to pass a VA appraisal, we couldn't find anything where I could get a horse again that fit the bill. It's hard getting the VA to approve a place with outbuildings unless they are in pristine condition. I'm happy for you!

It was bad. Never lived in peace there, and always had to keep my windows and doors closed. Even during the hottest season. The saddest part of it all is that because I had no choice but to move my macaw into our bedroom where he spent a lot of time alone, he became a plucker. It crushes me every time I look at him, knowing that his forced isolated environment was the cause of it.

Thank you! I feel so blessed to be here!
The VA loan process can definitely be a nightmare for many. Lots of hoops to jump through, that's for sure.

I live in trailer park. My place the homes are not as close together as most parks I've seen. Even so, I imagine they would still be better than sharing walls with an apartment.
