What do you do with the leftover pieces of wood from projects? Don't throw them away! Make toy hangers out of them. I use theses to hang toys from the sides of the cages, instead of everything from the top. And serves as a smaller perch for the smaller birds.
This is how easy it is to make toy hangers. Each piece of grape wood is 2 1/2 to 3 inches long. These 4 took less than 20 minutes to complete. All hardware is SS.
1. Drill holes in both ends slightly smaller than the hardware you plan to use. The sizes will differ on each end.
2. Using a hanger bolt driver, insert your hanger bolt into the designated end. You can do it with a couple of nuts, but it is worth buying the driver. Believe me!!!
3. Screw the eye bolt into its designated end.
4. Add the washers and mount to the side of the cage then hang a toy!
