So this thing tips over if anyone sits on the edge. (I made it today)
Try 2 will be with a 8-10" garden planter plastic tray. Heavier. Wider. Still not sure about the ergonomics

my diy stuff never turns out well UNLESS I have someone else DIFM (Do It For Me )

I made one before with a larger (over 12") planter base and it worked fine. I think it's just a little too small and "tippy":) Can you just replace the bottom?

Is that a frisbee? :p cool!

Make the chain much, much shorter perhaps because the base is not wide enough? (as if i know what I'm talkin' bout  )

I think you need to add some kind of weight to it. Perhaps you might have a few spare bird toys laying around to hook right there at the bottom of all three chains where they hook up to the frisbee. Try that and see how it does. If it's still not as stable as you would like, add more toys...the weight will stabilize it.

Great job by the way.

I think you got it. The base 'is too small' in diameter to spread the chains out. That along with the frisbee weighing almost nothing. Not enough weight to stabilize it.

The chains are way too long. Try three 8 inch or 10 inch chains connected to one long chain going to the ceiling.
