So I'm going to pick up Yuka's new cage tomorrow! Very excited.
Kumo will be getting her current 32x21 flight, and she'll get a bit of a upgrade herself so I'm very happy for them.

I have a sight concern though - the posters bird who had been living in the cage passed away.
Now, I'm going to be scrubbing it down well with white distilled vinegar, bleach and hot water, as well as hosing it down anyway. What else can I do? Any tips on how to disinfect it better?
Any advice is very appreciated. :)

I will be ordering some, but wanted to know if there was anything else to do initially? Thanks for the link @Karen. :)

I've learned the woman's Amazon of 12 years that had been in the cage passed from, sadly, liver cancer.
It's such a relief to know it wasn't a virus of some kind.

It's been sprayed down heavily with diluted cleaner(the one in the link above) and has been hosed down with a power hose.
It'll be sitting in the sun for the rest of the day as well.

I'll be sure to take some photos later on, and Yuka's reaction to the upgrade. :D

Yes I use that cleaner all the time and its really good. Has no odor and if you spray it on poo and leave it for a short while it comes up easily. I especially love to use it on the perches and platforms. I prefer to buy it buy the gallon on Amazon rather than the concentrate.

F10 or Virkon S if it comes from another bird. Nothing else is good enough.

I feel the same, but the F10 will take quite a bit to get to me.

Kumo has been in his temporary cage for about 2 months now, and I'm anxious to get him into a bigger one.
Poor bugger needs the space.
