I didn't know where to put it, but I had to share this true work of art.
Someone crocheted this 24 inch Hy, with wire in the feet so it can perch.
One of a kind and right now on auction which closes today for The Gabriel Foundation.
I love how they found the right colors and how the made the feathers.
I can't imagine how long it would take to make that.

edit to add, there's also a crocheted cockatiel and a quaker. some people are so skilled!

That's beautiful! And I love that it supports The Gabriel Foundation. A few years ago my daughter bought this crocheted Linnie for me from Etsy, made by a lady in Russia.

Not me making it! Even before arthritis I could never have made that or anything close. I did knit a vest in high school and that was it.

Amigurumi Birds, Someone did a fantastic job. I haven't seen a hyacinth made that way usually they were more a cartoon style. I have seen a scarlet, greenwing and a blue & gold and tons of other birds. I've made a peacock, puffin and some other birds. There are tons of free patterns online for Amigurumi birds and other animals.

there were 10 bids placed and it sold for $100.
Thank you! I guess I need to get a pattern and go into business! I am certain that they used the same pattern as the ones I will post below with some adjustments. They did beautiful job making it!

These are not birds I made but whom ever did make them did a great job!
