Wow, thank you so much for all the info and links! How long do the dangling toys last? I know they like to destroy stuff. Those stands are pretty expensive!

Originally I had wanted a turquoise GCC....and someone talked me into CBC due to their more even tempered personality. I also wanted a male due to the egg binding stuff, what a nightmare to deal with. Marcy Covault had told me her opinion was that females were sweeter than males. So then I thought I wanted a female, despite the egg binding possibilities...Then talking to others, the opinion is that every bird has its own personality despite being male or female.:eek::rofl: My son would really like a boy bird because all our other animals are girls

Marcy Couvalt is an excellent breeder with a great reputation. She helped me a lot when I was getting my pairs set up and in September my first 4 crimson bellied chicks hatched.

April, Jadie's has pearly's right now, ready in 4-5 weeks. Just a quick comparison, they seem about the same just instead of a red chest, they have red under their wings.

Yep, I agree. She's really been the only breeder who has spent a lot of time talking to me, regardless of whether I am buying from her. I am guessing most breeders get a ton of questions from people who dont bother to reply. Must get annoying.

It depends on the toy some toys he decides to kill quicker than others and some he just takes a chunk out of it every once in awhile. That's why I usually wait til a good sale at one of my favorite vendors to place an order so I can get a lot of toys at once to last me a long time without breaking the bank too much.
Ha it's funny you say that I've wanted a standard Turquoise Green Cheek for even longer than a CBC but once I found Jadies a Crimson came along first lol!
Nala DNA female Greenie was extremely sweet and had a wonderful even temperament and was so chill and snuggly her entire life. Zazu DNA female Cinnamon Turquoise Greenie was a lot more spicy and opinionated she never gave me a real bite or drew blood on me in the 3 years I had her but she was much more beaky and would grind down at times though never actually drawing blood.
Tobias is a bit of a mix hasn't drawn blood yet or even tried to really bite but he is far more beaky in general he just keeps on and on and if he gets mad about something he will Puff up and start strutting around and yelling at me but after a min or so he's back to rolling on his back and the transgression is forgotten .

Omg look at them!!!! Oh my goodness they are so precious! Congratulations on a successful clutch! Are you keeping any for pets/breeders?
No, I have a full house at this point haha.

Aww man I don't know how you could resist keeping at least one from your first clutch. I would love to see more pics as they grow up!

Ooh! I admittedly don't know much about Pearly's except that at one point they and Crimsons were thought to be the same species. They seem to be on the rarer side as well. But so gorgeous

You totally should! I know I've only had him a short time but I can't recommend Crimsons enough!

Don't tempt me lol
Pssst.... DO IT! I honestly regret not keeping the only puppy that my heart dog Penny ever had. We already had 4 dogs at the time so I logically understand why we had to let her go(we used to breed AKC Shih-Tzus) but it still hurts all these years later that I never got to keep and share my life with Penny's daughter.

Congratulations! I'd check out Nutz for perches as well. Sarah can customize them to fit perfectly in the flight cage if you wanna have them go all the way across and plenty of other lengths. A wide variety of sizes and lengths of natural woods is best you want to avoid dowel and plastic perches. Rope perches are also wonderful you just have to make sure your little one doesn't start shredding them because if the fibers are ingested he/she could get impacted or get their toes wrapped in the fibers.
You'll wanna get good quality bowls to attach to your cage avoid the cheap plastic ones that come with the flight cages i use a Stainless Steel bowl for the water bowl so they stay sanitary since Conures are known to make pellet soup and get their water nasty real fast.

How long til he or she comes home? Will you ship or go to pick up in person?
