CPAP machine and birds

Hey everybody! So I have sleep apnea, and probably am getting a CPAP machine. I just want to make sure that it will be safe for Lily. Anyone have any advice regarding this?

If it the same as the ones my family members use then it is fine but as I am unsure if there are more than one type I will tag some other members who may know more.

@rocky'smom uses one I think, she may be able to offer more information. @zoo mom may have knowledge about them too given her field of work.

As far as I know there shouldn't be a problem.

No problems with CPAP machine around my birds. Just follow manufacturers recommendations for cleaning.

Thanks everyone! Just wanted to make sure before I get one. I might try the mouth piece first though.

Before you try mouth piece,check with sleep apnea person or Dr.. Mouthpieces work with very mild apnea only. And if you need a CPAP machine to correct your apnea then most likely a mouth piece will not help. They can be quite uncomfortable and can cause sores in the mouth. They must be made by a dentist and take a lot more cleaning the a CPAP.
