Cooper's Hawk?

Out walking the dog yesterday, I saw this lone bird sitting on a fence and managed to snap one great photo before it flew off. I never get images this clear!

I tried to identify it and narrowed it down to either a Cooper's hawk or a sharp-shinned hawk. Leaning towards Cooper's, but I'm not really certain. Also curious about age and sex, if any experts are around.

I believe it's a Coopers since they are more likely to have the blood red eyes.
Here's my pic of I believe a Sharpie with more orange eyes.

I'm going to have to disagree and say it's a sharp-shinned hawk. Cooper's hawks have a much bigger, rounder head, and the tail is rounded. This bird has a smaller, more proportionate head and the tail has a flat end, which indicates a sharp-shinned hawk.
