New conure owner. Is it normal for a conure to be super clingy..as in I've only had 12week old since Friday and from offse just wanted to be on me, if I leave the room or put it down to do something it seems to panic

Yes, green cheeks tend to be velcro birds, especially in handraised (unfortunately).

Also very normal at this age to be dependant, and should begin to dissipate as he ages :)

Welcome to Avian Avenue Jessica,

You can try introducing toys and foraging activities. Show his how to use them and teach him how to play.

Post weaning birds would stick close to parents and flock , lots of learning going on at this age , and do need more contact .

Great time to introduce lots of veggies! Start teaching foraging by doing together.

Great time to start recall training in home! They are so programmed to follow parents , thst you can really get this down with a que and such a great thing for them to know.
More guidance interaction now , equals more confidence later.
