(My first language isn’t English so I’m sorry if I make any mistakes..also I think the time is a bit different?)

I took him to the vet for the first time on Saturday and on Sunday he has been sleeping/not moving all day
He was uninterested in sunflower seeds (usually when I gave him those he really liked them)
And barely ate anything else (except for a few pellets)
He’s been a lot better since today morning (over here it’s 7pm) but still seems a lot less energetic than he was
I am also extremely worried because his butt seems wet..and he has been preening it a lot

Could this be because I took him to the vet?
We did a check up and the vet kinda grabbed him
He was really stressed there, he’s never been grabbed like that before

After this ordeal I’m not sure what to do
In my country there isn’t a lot of people who have parrots so I had limited information and have no idea which animal hospitals to trust
Please give me advice on what to do

Did you take him in because you were concerned about his health before this visit? Or was it just for a "healthy bird" visit?

Usually my birds also get grabbed at the vet, but they recover pretty quickly. If your vet is not experienced with handling birds, it's possible they held them too tight. Could you call them with your concerns?

Are you on social media where you could ask in a local group who people use for their parrots? In my area there are not a lot of bird people or vets, but I was able to connect with several doing this.

One day my conure pooped something really scarlet and it turned out to be a perfectly normal phenomenon however
It kind of reminded me that I had absolutely no idea which animal hospital around me that I should visit when he was in a real emergency.
So I just thought I'd try out the nearest one..and never imagined he would be stressed to that degree.
I'm still not sure if it was the vet's lack of skills or my parrot's sensitivity that was the problem leading this.
And about social media, I'm still trying to find somewhere trustworthy.
Perhaps I'll just make one myself..?
I'm really thankful for your comment especially since I was having a mental breakdown, and my conure is doing a lot better now!
