our little boy has a film around one of his eyes. See picture above.
Any thoughts on what could be wrong. Should we go see a vet?

I can’t really tell from the pictures.
If his eye is draining or is excessively wet, I would take him to see an avian vet, especially if it appears to be painful.

I also can't tell anything from the photo shared or see anything concerning but I am also not sure what you mean. Can you explain more where this film is? Are you seeing irritation or something from your bird towards the eye you are worried about?

Eyes are always a vet thing for me. Can. E an eye injury. Or can indicate a sick bird

It looks like it could be wound tissue? But so many things it could be, I would also get a vet check to get it checked out.

That looks similar to inflammation to me. Not a vet, just have 5 conures and have seen a few things. I would take him in.
