coffee drinking quaker

ok, now my quaker, "banjo" has decided he wants some of my coffee in the morning. i have been giving him a sip. now i'm wondering if this is bad for him. all comments appreciated.

caffiene in any form is on the no-no food list for birdies

it's hard not to share when they want what we have - perhaps have an alternate for Banjo such as a little juice during coffee time

oooh coffeee is very bad for birds. try to drink coffee in another room or have some sort of cookie or treat that is healthy for him while u drink so he won't go into a fit.

yes coffee is bad when I have a bad food like coffee avocado mushrooms or bacon in the bird room I give a healthy treat to the birds I may even give them their own cup or spoon

Yup.. Caffiene is a no no when it comes to our fids. Koba tries to get my morning coffee as well, but I usually have a backup to keep her away from it!

Tika was serious coffee addict when he came to us. The sight of a coffee cup would put him into attack mode. He was going to get some whether you liked it or not.

It became quickly evident to us that the cup was a huge trigger. We started making him his own cup of chamomile tea. Pro lem solved. It was hot and he got the satisfaction of getting in the cup. He will drink 1/4 cup.

Now I put his ACV in there too. Tangs it up and now he likes it even more.

Cassius LOVES his chamomile tea. Bonus that it has calming effect too You want to make sure it isnt too hot of course, you dont want them to get burned. Cash likes his by the drop method

I know how it feels to have a little cutie trot up to see "what you got?" My quaker, Simon, absolutely loves yogurt, but he lives for a bit of pizza crust!! Very hard to deny that little face with those wise eyes, he's pretty sure he could eat anything, kinda like a goat
