Cockatiel can use the phone!

So my super cute diva princess foster cockatiel Kumquat loves playing with my cell phone. She especially loves taking photos. Seriously. She has put my phone on airplane mode and done other things I don't even know how to do. Sunday though was a whole new level of amazing. She was on my lap playing with my phone. And I watch her hit the phone button, hit recent contacts, hit "Howie" (my boyfriend) and hit the dial button. Howie who is sitting on the other side of the room says- why are you calling me? Not me- Kumquat.

Clearly, she either wanted to ask for more millet or wanted to lodge a complaint about the loud white bird.

Wow! My macaw learned the opposite, she would answer and hang up whenever I get phone calls. Had some people complain that I keep on declining their calls

Missy the cockatoo from the clinic, if the clinic phone would ring 3 times, before the 4th ring, she learned the answering machine message. "Thank you for calling (since the clinic is no longer in business, I will not put the name in ) veterinarian clinic. Please leave your name, phone number and the reason for your call. We will return your call as soon as possible. If this is a emergency, please call ___-___-____ and we will be happy to help you. Have good day BEEEEP." She said it verbatim.
Sometimes they are too smart for technology.

I think I saw something about an African Grey ordering things from Amazon through Alexa. I know I have seen videos of birds giving orders to Alexa for music and lights.
