Scrape with a knife, then soak and wash. Dry in an oven on low. ???

i used to throw cotton rope perched in the washing machine after removing the worst deposits.

When I clean my sisal boings/ropes I usually just soak them in hot water with F10 and scrub any poop off with a dishwashing brush which usually works fine! And then I internally scoff at myself for once upon a time thinking bird poop would just flick off things and be easy to clean.

Dishwasher with no dishes or detergent in it after a good clean out with bi carb and vinegar and a good rinse or two with nothing but clean water, I did all that because I find the dishwasher to be a filthy terrifying place as it reuses old water for the first wash. Thankfully we no longer have any rope perches!

I am the dishwasher :arghh:

We don't have one. Or a dryer. Because despite living in an actual city, I am trapped in a rural nightmare.
