Team Green got the Royal Treatment today. Their room cleaned by Rosie the Robot, she both Vacuumed and mopped it...twice! Their cages got cleaned, didn't take a whole lot the trays and grates and a wipe down. Then as they were good boys (likely need a trip to the vet as they MUST be sick!) a bowl of spaghetti noodles! Plus as it's such a nice day the whole place is open for a good airing out!
BTW if like me you are/were rocking older cages, Cheddar's was 20 years old and BB was a hand me down from Vivian and had seen 2 other bird while in my service. Think about getting new ones. The powder coat starts getting dull and the poop and food stick making it a PITA to clean. And the cages I got for these two have a really nice design on the Seed Guards, channels the mess back into the cage and to the tray where as Cheddar's old cage channeled te mess down beside the cage onto the floor. BB's didn't even have seed guards! so it was a big mess and hard to clean being a flight cage to boot. The new cages I got for them almost wipes clean with just a damp paper towel and the trays are much stiffer than Cheddar's old cage. I bring that up and his old cage is from the same company and was the great grandpa of his new cage. So they made some nice changes. Not everything is to my liking but it.
Do yourself a favor and go look at new cages and get an idea what's out there.
It use to take 2-3 hours to do their cages now about 30 minuntes and done!
Now if I can just get a good camera and learn how to use it. But here's a photo of their set up.
