Hi I am using Chlortetracycline Hydrochloride (Triple C, Vetafarm) for my parrot bacterial infection

if anyone can prove the safeness of this antibiotic I would appreciate it I am very scared of administering an antibiotic that would kill so much of my parrot natural gut flora off and have no actual effects..

has anyone else used this?? Absolutely any commenys or insights are appreciated

All medications are a risk vs reward scenario. All antibiotics will kill beneficial gut bacteria as far as I know.

You can offer a probiotic 1-2 hours after the antibiotics to help mitigate the effect.

Yes I am aware. That is why I would appreciate any anecdotal evidence of the antibacterials efficiency as I do not want my parrot to lose gut bacteria after the antibacterial did nothing.

It depends on the type of bacteria you are treating
