Chico has gone back...

...to his previous owner, and is listed as For Sale again I cannot describe how disappointed I am, and how guilty I feel. I developed a tightness in the chest and a cough. I had Chico on a two week trial, as I was worried he would learn to mimic Levi's incessant contact calling. I had only a few days to return, so didn't have time to try air purifiers, or even to wait and see if breathing issues would return to normal. He was as close to perfect as it gets! He certainly doesn't deserve the "raw deal" he's getting....

Chico is a very special bird, or maybe I'm just unaccustomed to the personality of the Grey. I hope he finds a good place. My husband made the four hour drive alone to return, as I didn't want to be in the enclosed car with Chico, considering the wheezing that I was having. I had a hour conversation with Chico before he left, where I tried to explain, and tell him how sorry I was...Ken is not that into my birds, but he had gotten quite attached to Chico as well. It was impossible not to love him....

Things were going wonderfully. I developed a cough and chest tightness that the doctor couldn't find any reason for, other than Chico. I had a two week period where I could return Chico for a full refund, if for any reason, it didn't work out. I have no allergies and was not expecting problems. Considering it was $1500, and I didn't have time to experiment with air purifier to see if there would be improvement, I opted to return. I've had EKG, Chest Xray, and blood work and I seem to be healthy. I'm feeling better now...he's been gone for four days. Chest tightness and wheeziness has disappeared....cough almost gone.

Nothing is ever simple!

That's too bad Sharon But, if that was going to be limiting to your relationship with him, its probably better that he finds someone who isn't allergic that will be able to spend lots of time with him without being in agony. It wouldn't have been a good situation for either of you
