Ivy is turning 4 in 2 weeks, is the first hormonal season always the longest? She’s been hormonal since winter but it was way worse then, she is much calmer now but now she’s been bowing down asking me to mate with her so I guess she sees me as her mate, I’ve tried chamomile tea before and it really calmed her down but also very tired as I know it has that effect but I’m wondering is it safe to let her drink some chamomile everyday?

Thins the blood. In case the bird is prone to nosebleeds like mine.

FYI. You can add the tea leaves (any kind) to birdie bread. I just found this out. Good luck.

Interesting.
I tried it because JoJo regurgitates after meals and chamomile is a soothing digestive tea. He gets nosebleeds after eating too many safflower seeeds too which have a blood thinning effect as well. Vet gave me a digestive oil which is helping. Her birds are on it.
same with fresh ginger and peppermint tea.
