Franz is very clever. Just before I took the picture, he had his nose tucked down between the towels so it was extra warm. But he is not the most clever cat we have had over the years. That designation goes to Darius Meow (classical musicians might get that name). Darius would jump up and snatch toast as it popped up. Right out from under my husband's nose. He also would snatch cheese. He could open Tupperware containers etc. He was scary smart and extremely brazen.

Clara's eyes are actually blue. Though they do look green in the picture. Boris's eyes are yellow. The 2 grey stripey boys do have green eyes.

Blue or green I grew up with both. Grew up with Siamese and than the rescues all had green eyes.

Fat cat in a laundry basket.

Maurice has decided that my laundry basket is his new bed. (The clothes are waiting to be washed.)

And yes he is every bit as fat as the picture makes him look. Several days ago I measured him and he is just shy of a foot wide.
