I want to be sure what I have is safe, or make sure I get something else, but I want to dilute (50/50) some Camomile tea to replace my budgies water before my upcoming trip. I have Twinnings, and I notice it is Camomile, Honey & Vanilla. It claims to contain 100% natural ingredients, "Camomile, Natural Vanilla and Honey Flavors, and other natural Flavors". So, OK to use or go buy a different organic Camomile only tea?

Im not entirely sure about the vanilla but it could be safe٫ i also would wanna make sure that it has no caffeine. Growing your own chamomile might be helpful (if you can for where you live) but this is upcoming so there probably won't be enough time for that٫ maybe in the future you could grow your own. Hope this helps.

Is this Pukka?
If so, take note that there is licorice root in there. I feel it was giving me (my heart) problems last week, and for that, I wouldn´t give it to my little ones.

Oh, no...it's not that. I'd have to go look at the box, but since I only intended it for me, it's probably Celestial Seasonings or something, lol!

Oh sorry, I see now you said it was twinings!

I was recently looking at my teas because my heart was skipping a beat every now and then a few times a day, and I was drinking a few cups a day. Most had licorice root in. It was only my twinings that didn´t actually.

I don’t buy tea, instead I just buy/grow the actual chamomile flowers. I recommend buying because I usually find bugs in my tea if I use the ones I grow :depressed:

My Kiwi has always trusted me when I offer him tea.
He especially loves ice cubes, so any tea he doesnt necessarily want..i will freeze and chop up for him.
He never usually needs much. He has also never refused to drink it.
I have never diluted it much.
Keeping that in mind, i would never leave him with just his bowl of tea, diluted or not.

I think its important to moderate and be aware of how much they consume at least in the learning stage.

All i do is offer him a sip from my mug when I think he might need it, and he trusts me enough to have a sip.

If he hesitates i will "sip" it with him.

my kiwi will at least take a sip of any new drink that I offer to him, so long as I refer to it as "Kiwi-tea"

Oh, I’m only using it for the driving days of this trip. I just want to do everything possible to make this less stressful for them!
