Recently I’ve noticed that my budgie has been bobbing its tail a little more than my other one. I’ve read that tail bobbing can be a sign of sickness or it can be them just resting. I’ve been worried for a couple of days now and want to keep him in a heated box but he has enough energy to escape and go back to the normal so I don not understand

also I’ve seen videos of budgies bobbing their tails in slow less pronounced motions and people say they are sick and other not please help

If your bird is acting "off" - eyes don't look bright and alert, fluffed appearance, overly sleepy or lacking in normal energy... you need to go see a vet immediately. I would much rather be safe than sorry.

Your bird is not only tail bobbing. He is also breathing very heavily. It's time to get him to the vet - he appears to be quite ill. Very likely he has a respiratory infection.
