Hi there

My first post on here, so apologies if I get the format wrong!

Long story short, one of my budgies(2.5 years) has always had some occasional vomiting issues since a young age. However, since around September he has been a lot worse. Vomiting heavily a few times a week and sleeping a lot.

He’s had multiple vet visits and multiple meds (baytril and 2 others I can’t remember the names of)

He just doesn’t improve. The weirdest thing though, is he isn’t getting any worse or looking like he’s deteriorating.

I will list symptoms below:

1. Vomiting (most of his seed, usually in a white throth)

2. Scavenging afterwards to try find food he can keep down

3. Refusing baths. (Now bathe him myself)

4. Sleeping 50% of the day, although he still has periods of being active.

5. Silent. Hardly makes a sound, occasional chirp but no longer sings or speaks. (He can say a few words like “my name is Sammy!”

Every vet I’ve been to haven’t really been able to help and always start with the “are you sure he’s not regurgitating..” which is incredibly annoying.

Any advice or home remedies would be appreciated. (Sammy is the blue one)

What tests did they run on him? Did they do a fecal? Check for gastric yeast? And not to sound like them because you probably know, but vomiting usually entails head shaking with food/vomit flying everywhere. Regurgitating looks like they're forcing something up their throats. What is his diet like? And were these avian vets that you saw? (And I'm sorry he's not doing well.)
