Wonderful photos! So envy those who live near these wide open treeless areas. Do you belong to a free flight group?
Yeah, it can be a real pain when it comes to distance/ can even prevent getting to fly at all.
We just drive hours and or even airplane out of state for appropriate training and or fun novel locations... once the training/conditioning phases are done though, we can fly essentially anywhere we want which is uber nice and convenient.
Flying in a forest is really fun or from the top of a mountain or near the sea, comfortably right at home...
I do not belong to a group and predominately train/fly individually.
Groups can be amazing but they at times tend to get cliquey, dramatic, emotive based etc if you're not careful so I do not get too close to any specific one.
They all have great members and resources to meet, be actual friends with, and appreciate!
I just stay friendly and happy to meet/train/fly with anyone, granted it's safe, regardless of what group they're in. It's also nice if a given group is coincidentally meeting up.
They're almost always happy to have another safe free flier hit the skies with them!
